The Thames River, England  - 215 miles on foot from source to sea

In February 2015 Ian located the source of the iconic River Thames in a meadow in Gloucestershire, England. Over the following 12 days Ian followed its snaking course crossing the UK from west to east. Wild camping on locks, in fields and on the rivers bank Ian's 215 mile journey passed through huge twists and turns, meadows and villages, historical cities and financial districts ending at the Thames barrier where the rivers mouth meets the North sea.

You can read about the journey, written as two features here: Part 1  and Part 2
